October 10, 2011: After close of business, grantor trust and “mini-Berkshire Hathaway” Compass Diversified (ticker: CODI) announced a third quarter dividend of $0.36.
BDC Reporter’s Two Cents: Historically, Compass has been very committed to a steady dividend pay-out, so we were not surprised by the Company’s decision to keep the pay-0ut unchanged for a third quarter in a row at an annualized rate of $1.44. On a closing price of $12.44 that’s a yield of 11.6%. How the Company is faring in the unsettled market conditions we are enduring is not known, but this is an encouraging detail.
