Only one BDC is currently invested in Wholesome Sweeteners. Alcentra Capital has been invested for $5mn for several years, but exclusively in the common equity of this privately held company. The position has never been valued at a premium and was written down by as much as 35% in the IQ of 2016. However, for the II and IIIQ of 2016, the value of this non-income producing investment has increased to a 20% discount. Given the valuation history and investment illiquidity, the BDC Credit Reporter rates the Corporate Credit a 3, and the credit trend as unchanged.
