Welcome to the new home of the BDC Reporter
May 25, 2026
Dear Subscribers,
Whether you are a long-time Premium subscriber or a regular reader of our Free updates, I want to welcome you to the brand-new home of the BDC Reporter.
We have officially transitioned our publishing platform to Ghost.org. If you’ve spent any time on the site today, you’ve likely already noticed the changes. We made this move with one primary goal in mind: to deliver our BDC sector coverage, credit analysis, and financial reporting to you as seamlessly and reliably as possible.
Here is a quick look at why we made the switch, and how you can get the most out of the new platform.
Why We Moved
The previous platform served us well, but as the BDC Reporter has grown, it was time to upgrade the infrastructure. The move to Ghost provides two massive benefits for you as a reader:
- A Cleaner, Distraction-Free Look: Financial analysis requires focus. The new site features a minimalist, highly readable design. Whether you are parsing through a complex 10-Q breakdown on your desktop or reading a quick update on your phone, the text is front and center, with zero clutter.
- Better "Under the Hood" Performance: Behind the scenes, Ghost is significantly faster and more stable. You will notice quicker page load times, smoother navigation, and, most importantly, an end to the crashes and lag times that occasionally disrupted the old site.
How to Use the New BDC Reporter
To ensure you aren't missing out on any of our coverage, here are a few quick tips for navigating the new setup:
- Logging In is Easier: Ghost uses a secure, passwordless login system. Simply click "Log In" at the top of the site, enter your email address, and you’ll receive a "Magic Link" in your inbox. Click that link, and you are securely logged in—no need to remember another password.
- Clearer Content Tagging: We’ve streamlined how articles are organized. You can easily filter through the archives by specific BDC tickers, credit updates, or earnings reviews using the new navigation menu.
- Managing Your Account: Your subscription—whether Free or Premium—has been seamlessly migrated. You can manage your account, update your email preferences, or upgrade your subscription tier at any time by clicking the "Account" button in the right-hand corner of the site.
- Check Your Inbox: Premium subscribers who've signed up to receive new articles via email will find the content looks a bit sharper and loads faster in their email client. To ensure our articles don't end up in your spam folder, please take a moment to add our sending address to your safe sender list.
- Subscriber Tools: All the invaluable tools you were accustomed to previously - the BDC NAV Change Table, the BDC Fixed Income Table, the BDC Performance Table, and the BDC Earnings Calendar - have all been ported over to the new format. Plus, you'll find 2 new resources: A BDC News Feed, complete with our proprietary analysis and insights, and the Individual BDC Performance, where we summarize in one paragraph every BDC's quarterly financial performance, and rate it between 1 and 5.
We are incredibly excited about this new chapter. The cleaner design and rock-solid stability will allow me to spend less time managing website backend issues and more time doing what matters: tracking the public BDC sector and delivering the insights you rely on.
Take a look around the new site, and feel free to reply directly to this email with any feedback or questions.
Best regards,
Nicholas Marshi, Editor
